Diagnosing Heart Problems

Your heart and the rest of your cardiovascular system are an intricate network of components helping with various aspects of your health, including removing waste, ensuring all parts of your body receive the necessary nutrients, and bringing help when you have an infection.

When a cardiovascular problem occurs, it's no wonder that you experience various issues that extend further than your heart. On top of that, having heart issues also places you a risk for other problems in the future, such as kidney troubles.

Fortunately, we can detect problems early. Even when that isn't possible, we can still intervene, slow the progression, and reduce the likelihood of potential complications.

Some of the diagnostics we perform include:

We also incorporate your medical and familial history during diagnosis to make sure everything is accounted for.

Improving Your Lifestyle Habits

Diet and physical activity levels play a major role in the overall health of your heart. When you don't care for yourself properly, you may be at risk for numerous unpleasant cardiovascular issues, such as high blood pressure, an abnormal heart rhythm, and high cholesterol, which all increase your likelihood of having a stroke. That's not considering that some cardiovascular concerns raise your chances of a heart attack.

Our cardiology division, serving Altoona, State College, Bedford, PA, and other nearby areas, can help you get your health on the right track to improve your heart health and keep it stable.

Central PA Physicians Group, serving Altoona, State College, Bedford, PA, and the neighboring communities, has specialists who provide curative and preventative cardiology care. Our goal is to keep your heart beating strong through lifestyle changes and any necessary medical interventions.
